Well insurers charge over the odds when private motorists go into PH/HC owning due (they say) to the higher mileages, hours the vehicle is driven and subsequent risks, so, when going back to private motoring are quotes so high?

im just about to semi retire, i have two PH ncd's if i go as PH relief i cant take ncd, theres 3 months on policy no refund, cant transfer, wanted to put new owner on for last 3 months they want 160 quid. robbing gits doesnt even do it.

Differant companies have differing rules I know with Westminster insurance if you have an accident even if it isn't your fault and the car is written off your ncb is as well thats why I never use westminster now but Aviva are pretty good about that sort of thing just bad at paying up on third party claims


Do not think that is correct about Westminster.
