That's true Toots.I reckon most of us shop online for a start but the big retail parks with all that lovely free parking attract the masses.Add to that here in Derby in the shiny new(ish) Westfield Centre there is plenty of parking spaces.Free bus passes for the wrinklies has also massively contributed to the decline and of course the greedy bus bosses then decided to run until 3 am at weekends, hammering in a few more nails into the trades coffin.I agree most of the drivers sit there (moaning rankers-and I was one) and do nothing about it.There is work out there but it ain't just gonna fall into your lap without some effort.

It's dead round here this weekend, it's the 90's weekend at Butlins so there's not a deal about this weekend. The lads in Skeggy will be making a bob or two this weekend.

Your question has been answered today.

I think things aren't getting any worse, which in itself is progress.

OK maybe not in scotland but certainly round here people seem to be starting to spend money again and yes I know it was announced that Britain is officially in recession again but it certainly seems to be getting better trade wise although the nights are still rubbish

I think you're just imagining that because January lasted an extra two months this year, so now it looks like it's picking up

Well... to you and me a recession is the state of perpetual skintness, however to an MP, MSP or an MEP a recession is only a word to use their spell checker out on prior to receiving their huge gold plated pensions #-o ...
