As the Driver of a Hack in Ayr and a Customer of Abbey Taxis in Bath.

I am very pleased that they are using this System, it allowed me to identify our Car out of some 8, or more, waiting outside the venue I was eating at.

It's a great system.

i will say it again if a customer had called our office prior to this and asked for my reg details they would of been told to go forth and multiply.

I'm not sure that it would be legal to do so.

May I ask how you expect your average Nutter will get your home address from your Car's Make, Colour and Number?

Maybe the nutter will follow it home...and if that fails to find him he'll use a Phonebook. #-o

Around here, the average Nutter has the attention span of a Fly.

Maybe, your Nutters are more serious than ours, but I think that you're over reacting.

THATS WHY ITS STUPID TO GIVE THEM DETAILS THAT THEY DONT NEED TO REMEMBER soz caps.it only takes one.
there is a story in blackpool about 2 gypsies who got in a cab p1ssed up and after a cordial start to the journey in which the driver let slip his uncle drove a landau in town, the job desended into a bad one and the driver managed to escape luckily for him.over the next few weeks cab drivers were questioned by gypsies regarding his uncle basically coz they were p1ssed they cudnt remember what the driver looked like but cud remember he had a uncle who drove landaus.they got cabs and used to ask the driver how his uncle was doing in the hope they hit the jackpot.

if these gypsies had his regestration details nicely stored in messaging he would of been in big big trouble.

Phone DVLA tell them a cars been abandoned on your land, give reg. details and pay (£2.50 ?) they in turn will give you the registered keepers details. Or at least you were able to do so, they may have closed this loophole.

Whats the relevance of that ? The plate holder may not be the driver.
