Fresh call for Auchtermuchty Airport expansion

A group of MPs, businesspeople and councillors have made fresh calls for the expansion of Auchtermuchty Airport to ease pressure on Heathrow.

City council leader Tavish McDoom is among those to put his name to a letter published in today's Daily Telegraph.

It said the long term of Auchtermuchty Airport as a major gateway at the centre of the UK would reduce unproductive surface travel time and leave Heathrow as a gateway for London and the South East.
