yes, Churchill was a soldier long ago, so what? fecking good job we had Winnie though int it, or we would all be driving on the other side of the road now, spending Reichsbanknotes and driving VW beetles

As for the Belgrano, im sure they would have sunk ours just as we sank them

Regardless of how long ago it was - he is what he was!

I am not so sure that I would like the Beetles bit - but perhaps we would have been better off as they have had a better life style for decades. There were good and bad on both sides and I am sure that good would have eventually presided over the bad sector - it always does. This country has more surveillance/spying equip than any other country in Europe...............are you sure that you are that free?

Well! It is for sure that our lot did............but you can never be sure - because they never did.

Just for the record in case you think that this is an anti English thing - Kinnock and his ilk, I would quite happily swap for a German,Japanese OR an Argi - with the latter three.....at least you knew where you were with them.

That is not the issue! Of course the rules of the "Geneva Convention" go right out of the window with the likes of Thatcher - must be in the same club as Bliar, another war criminal.

Having said that, the hypocrisy of it all is that if you and I fell out and started to bang seven bells out of each other,.....we would probably end in jail - If the politicians do the same scenario i.e fall out with their counterpart,.....they send an army to kill them, and never go to jail or seem to have to account for their actions. You have to ask yourself why are you defending the reaction of a caveman/cavewoman.

Take my first quote re Churchill " He enjoyed the experience" - imho a very dangerous unhinged person (his drinking) should tell you that.

Then there is Thatcher a power crazed megalomaniac who stepped outside the rules of engagement - two very poor choices if I may say so.

I think even in your tiny xenophobic mind, Churchill could have had nothing to do with Culloden, since he wasn't born at the time.

Unlike Gallipoli which was his dumb idea.
After 9 months and 392,338 casualties, it was abandoned having achieved absolutely nothing, other than to add more needless slaughter to the carnage that was WW1.

BTW there were more Scots in the Cumberland's army than there were in the Jacobite army.
Ask bloodnock, some of them were probably his ancestors

Churchill probably saved Europe by standing against fascism and WW2 ,but was he a good leader in peacetime ?
Thatcher destroyed the UK from the inside, and killed most of the industry in Great Britain by systematically wiping out the trade unions then closing pits, steel and ship builders yards, aswell as her obsession with privatising anything she could get her claws on.
Hard to make a comparison to Thatcher as shes almost subhuman !

Aren't these the most dirty, dangerous jobs around? Lucky for us that we had Maggie to save us from all the danger.

Im 6ft tall and "rotund", working on a 48" thick coal seam was never ideal for me......im glad the pits are (more or less) consigned to history, in May 1882 our pit had its disaster, 32 men died (inc rescuers), im glad no child of mine will ever go coal mining for a living.

Churchill a war criminal defo he put the Black and tans into Ireland was in favor of compulsory selective breeding of the working class, supported the invention of concentration camps yes a British creation in South Africa and then ordered the bombing of Dresden a recognized war crime [which my father took part in and when years later he learned the truth was devastated at what had happened] Churchill he was just another power hungry mass murdering product of the upper class Tory scum.

He also turned out the army to confront striking miners in Wales and threatened to SHELL their homes, NICE piece of excretia indeed.

But of course youve been diverted this is about sexual abuse of children by a Tory grandee carefully covered up by the establishment with Thatcher's co-operation and of course that mob in Buckingham Palace.

TIME TO UTILISE SOME LAMPOST'S :?: :?: :?: :?:
