The employment status of a driver hangs on who pays the running costs like fuel, according to the IR,
as you have clearly admitted you pay the fuel your driver is an employee in the eyes of the law.
Now most night shift people I know, 10/6, and I did nights years ago in an electronics factory, where paid day rate plus 36% shift allowance, front and back shifts 6/2 2/10 where paid 24% shift allowance
