If you look at the book there's a little snippet in there which says, "if the passenger doesn't have the correct money and you don't have the change you can keep the note as such time you have enough to change it, the passenger must then come and find you to get their change".

Many buses, where you just put your fare in the machine, have signs that say "no change given". Or signs saying "exact fare only, no change given".


making bus operators smarter than taxi operators...lol
