well John did the lads do you proud or were you disappointed ?

I thought the first half was where Wales should have gone for it they gave the Portuguese too much respect but well done for what they have achieved !

I was disappointed with our performance against England (not because it was England), but the manner of it i.e lack of quality on the day, and our passing was abysmal. Also whilst it is right to give respect to a better side - you can give to much respect to the other side that makes it detrimental to your own game plan, as was the case. We were rubbish and got what we deserved.

The Russian game was a total reversal whereby everything came together - we played well, having said that the Russian side were very disappointing.

The result against Northern Ireland was a bit of a steal as NI were the better footballing side on the day, displaying far more comfort and skill on the ball than we did by a country mile. If they can get some decent goal scorers, then they will be a side to contend with.

Against the Belgian's I felt that we had a game plan, it came together very well on the day - we played well.

The Portuguese were there for the taking and if we had brought our "A" game then I think that we could have got the result that we wanted, anyway well done Portugal. I would say that Portugal are not the side that they once were and in many respects are lucky to be where they are, as the game against us was the first that they had won within 90 minutes of this competition. The Polish side imo were unlucky against them, I thought that they were the better footballing side.

Whilst we have done well, we do lack quality, along with the fact that too many players are not that comfortable on the ball. I would also say that our tempo is far too slow, as such we need to come up to the speed of the top sides if they are going to make any progress. Once we were two goals down we stepped up the tempo, unfortunately it should have been the case much earlier and was much too late.

Having said all of the above, they gave their all, and what they lacked in skill, they made up for by being prepared to throw their bodies on the line - you cannot ask for more than that. All in all we probably over achieved from what has been an unexpected good Euro run. Hopefully we will learn and kick on from there.

I thought Bale was a bit greedy last night, could be something to do with him wanting to out do Ronaldo.

I do not think that it was greed - more of a misjudgement on his part as so much is expected of him. His passing on the night was a bit heavy to say the least, also he could have laid the ball off once or twice to others in a better position. In all honesty he probably took on to much due to the absence of two suspended players (one of them being Ramsey), who was out due to doing imo an unnecessary handball.

Something that was used by our government in the Scottish referendum as I recall.
