bart,

first of all it has everything to do with TAX, if payed your wages (therby declaring your earnings, it would then make you an employee.

We let you cheat the system, remember that, we let you scam the government out of thousands. WE DO PAY TAX, WE ARE DECLARED. unlike most cabbies so dont give me that bollox.

I think you'd find that officially jockey drivers are NOT supposed to be self employed. If you have a driver for your car then you are supposed to:

1. Pay nationla minimum wage at least
2. Observe the working time directive
3. pay sick pay, holiday pay, maternity pay, paternity pay etc
4. pay employer tax and national insurance contributions

You may be different but i don't know of any private hire operators who don't run their own cars that they rent out and scam the government and drivers out of thousands of pounds each year.

The tax man keeps threatening to clamp down on the industry, the quicker he does the better for everyone.

and if i was your boss, i would have booted you out, id say go take your business elsewhere, i bet your boss doesnt have a waiting list, thats why he left it.

i control 3 firms, and always 10 drivers leave when i takeover, why? because they know im strict on time keeping and on rent, but im very strict with customer relationships.

i also have regular meetings with the council, so if you were in my city, and i knew your badge number....lets just say your car would net get plated so easily next time.

Why are you going on about the tax situation again?
A cab ( PH or Hack) is a business, a PH can not pick up off the street so he needs to Use the services of a PH operator. He pays the PH operator for this service therefore he is the customer of the PH operator. Sometimes the driver will also rent his cab off the operator that still makes the driver the customer.

I’ve explained this the best I can but you clearly lack the intelligence to understand it. It would be pointless for me to post any more about it.
