I saw an advert in the courier mag last month and it said that drivers would get 65% of the account job.

Now if that's a good %, WTF are the bads ops paying?

Our fares were increased on 1st August this year to the start rates I previously posted. It works out T1 £3.40 a mile. PHV and Hackney have same rates here. We did get an increase in soilage this year - £75 for inside the car, £25 for outside - hit both and pay both = £100.

For what its worth here's the Manchester hackney carriage Tariff sheet.

http://www.mantax.co.uk/FARES-CHARGES-2006.pdf

What isn't on there is the 25 pounds an hour we charge for Heritage tours, the extra charge for what we determine as house removals, Wedding functions or any other unconventional private hiring that is based on an agreed fare.

Regards

JD

How about a return job on every single job covered and never more than a mile between jobs. :)
