I help to load or unload to the pavement and no more. After that I'm not insured and it is no longer my problem.
What a lovely place you must work. Will your passengers pay your lost earnings if you injure yourself humping their crap around and can't work?

Up here we don't charge for luggage and tips are more commensurate with how miserable and tight-fisted a git your passenger is.

I see London and Aberdeen share the same breed of customers.

I keep a 'sheeit bag' of 5 / 2 / and 1p's

It's amazing how quickly people don't want the 20p back from the £9.80 fare.

Hi All

As a multi seater I obviously have to occasionally put up with loads and loads of luggage (i.e. shopping, push chairs). I bet all you multi seater out there have had it, i.e. at the supermarket rank families with a massive pushchair and 2/3 trolleys of shopping wait until you are at the front of the rank. Or you get the 3 or 4 students ganging up for their weekly shopping and coming to your larger vehicle.

What do you know about common carriers?

NVQ level 4 NVQ explains all about common carriers and your obligation to carry luggage both inside and outside the prescribed distance.

Regards

JD
