This clearly explains that the Higher tax bands are for new cars registered in 2010/11 and for the first year only.

I was going to write and tell you what you are missing, but I decided that I just can't be bothered.

Humour me, what am I missing?

Whatever you was missing then it appears the gov are having a renag. :D

They'll be kicked out allright...its the bloody mess they leave behind that will be the bigger problem. as for Tax cuts...Vehicle Excise or income Tax forget it, They are Borrowing to buy themselves out of trouble, that legacy of debt will be passed on to you and I's children to pay off. Its a daft idea and as any family knows the quickest way to ruin is to borrow more than it can afford...the very thing that got us into this mess is the very thing they are doing again to get us out of it.

Cameron has the right idea...make some major savings in government spending, make the doleys work and cut back on the behemoth government workforce that is sucking the life out of the economy....its cheaper to have these council Lackies on the dole doing nothing than to have them at Council HQ's doing the same amount of nothing but with a gold plated pension attached.

blame Lti

if they did some weight trimming of the air raid shelters you drive and fitted the lowest emission engine (even a petrol) you could be quids in, petrol+LPG - save RFL and fuel costs...
