Whoever wrote this particular passage wants their backside kicking because it is factually incorrect.
"For the taxi driver who is plying for hire there is a legal obligation to pick up passengers who have hailed".
We all know there is no legal obligation to pick up passengers who hail in the street so perhaps the person who wrote this rubbish needs to be retrained and if any trainer goes along with this then they also need to be retrained.
There are quite a few things wrong in the Course Books for the Btec/NVQ.
In one section it says that you cannot charge more than the meter rate for journeys terminating outside your Licensed Area!
And we all know that is wrong.
But the burning question is ..... Are you going to take the course Mr JD, when it is introduced by your Licensing Authority?
