It doesn't always pay to be the good samaritan !

yesterday it was very busy because it was market day, payday weekend and raining !

At one point I had a few minutes spare and went to the square there was a woman there (who uses all the taxi firms) who had been waiting ages for her booked taxi. I agreed to take her as she had been waiting so long so she started to walk towards me (she has a walking speed with her walker of about 0.1 MPH !) Just then her booked taxi turned up and she started to move towards him but before she could get there a young girl plus toddler went up to him and he bundled them in and disappeared. I then got a short-ish rank job and on return she was still there so took her home.

Unfortunately because she had been waiting in the cold and rain for so long someone had bought her a cup of takeaway coffee to warm her up which she promptly spilt as she struggled into the car  so had to give the seats a quick clean down afterwards

But I have to say what a piece of [edited by admin] that driver is for ignoring his booked customer and grabbing the rank job

So report him. It is an offence not to arrive on time for a pre booked fare.

To. Insure. Promptness. Did you get one.? So report him. The paperwork of a complaint will keep him tied up for a couple of hours. At least it would in the City of your County.

the complaint would have to come from the customer our council do not allow driver vs driver complaints

and she doesn't have the cerebral capacity to do so bless her

Some may say a smack on the nose will suffice.

But not me. [-(

why do they have to keep the hospital road closed so long for the air ambulance

at P'boro city hospital the helipad is on a mound but next to the one way road that all cars have to follow. this morning I was unlucky enough for it to be closed for the East Anglian Air Ambulance (probably flown by Trotskys mate the Duke of York ) But once on the ground the traffic was still held whilst a couple of paramedics and their equipment slowly walked up and then were kitted out alongside the helicopter by one of the pilots then finally it slowly took off edging backwards and upwards and finally once it started moving forwards they reopened the barrier by which time upwards of 100 cars waiting to exit

why can't they allow traffic through whilst it's on the ground ?

They tried that with me the cheeky *****.

I can watch everything that's on Sky for nothing, via the laptop I'm currently typing this post.

It's only that I'm a law abiding type that I don't.
