I haven't heard that one yet. On the 10 o'clock news it was reported that an MP had resigned because she hadn't.

All I heard on the radio as I was travelling back home was something about Baroness Scotland resigning, I of course could be mistaken and you could be right, it wouldn't be the first time

this is developing quite nicely now

Quote:
The former housekeeper to Attorney General Baroness Scotland has claimed the peer never asked to see her passport before giving her a job.

Speaking exclusively to the Mail on Sunday, Loloahi Tapui, an illegal immigrant from Tonga, claimed she was given work after a 10-minute interview.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8276954.stm

and can you guess what im thinking?...
(you just know whats coming next)

Quote:
EMBATTLED law chief Baroness Scotland has called in cops after cash and jewellery vanished from her home.

The Attorney General, fined £5,000 this week for hiring an illegal immigrant maid, lost valuables worth thousands.

At first she thought she had mislaid a host of items. (as you do) But a search of her £2million home - on the advice of cops - failed to find them. A police insider said: "She was unable to find a large number of items."

It comes as her sacked housekeeper plans to spill the beans on how she got the job.

nah, too easy...

option 1. the maid nicked the stuff
option 2. the baroness hid it to make the maid look bad
option 3. (i like this one myself), the stuff has been planted on the maid, to discredit her

the watch was was worth £20K and was bought as an investment

tell me, if you bought a £20,000 antique watch as an investment, where would you keep it?:-

A - on a fireplace in full view/laying around?
B - in the safe or safe deposit box?

Antique watches/any gold make good invsetment, and you can deal in cash...

(i infer nothing)

so lets be right, she IS an illegal...

Quote:
She says she has been in Britain illegally for five years, since her student visa ran out, and is prepared to take a lie-detector test to prove she is telling the truth.

She says that she is an illegal, the same as she said she was entitled to work here. She is just a liar and a thief.
