The UnitedTaxi Network does not affiliate and is not affiliated to any other taxi scheme, if we were so we would annouce it properly and officially. It is not a link or scheme.
The Network is a project run by drivers. We have members signed up all over the country and in around 4 weeks time will be beta testing the software.
I can understand sceptism, as for years I have been disillusioned companies that charged a small fortune for no work in return but as our project is free to join for the first 3 months, why the negativity ?
If you dont want to join fine, but without at least vising the site please dont leave uninformed comments

So to all the doom mongerers out there, were now in our third month and still here.
Better than that, we now supply in cab, credit card terminals for the trade with deals that cannot be beaten by the big banks.
So if you are thinking of accepting cards and you would like to earn more money as well, come and have a look at our website and find out how.
We are also in talks with a major mobile phone company, whom are prepared to offer our taxi members the best deals on the market. Watch this space.

The two people setting up united taxi network have over 60yrs driving experience and are both still driving cabs.
The 3 months we were referring to is the 3 months that the united taxi network has been in existance and is expanding every day.

We are looking for the best of the best of the best............. drivers who want to earn, want to offer good service and go the extra mile for their and your clients.

if all taxi companies entered available job details on a webpage with trade only access, say "2 passengers BHX - leeds, 2/9/2010" then anyone from the north dropping at BHX could contact them and offer a discounted rate, the punters still paying the agreed fare, meaning the originating company still make money and the carrying company make extra instead of having an empty car

its greener and it frees up a car too

in haulage its called a backload

but you dont want public access to it

that means very little....one could have been driving 59 years and is very old and possibly has lost the plot...the other might just have been driving 1 year and be young and very naive.

Can you blame us for being sceptical...every week another group comes along that say its the best thing since sliced bread and that we should get involved.....next week or next month some other gruop will come along with an even more [edited by admin] plan....and as none of these people are doing it for nothing then its our money they seek... #-o

ah, so are you expecting work for SFA?

now ive never been like that, as a courier i was on courier exchange at a cost of £500 a year netting me £200-£300 a week sales just off that website (i also had other work)

theres no such thing as a free lunch

the trouble is here on TDO not many are independent one-man bands not sitting on a rank, so not many have any interest in work off a website

Your always harping on about how well things were done when you were a courier....so if things were so wonderful in the courier industry why are you now in people delivery?

All Im saying is that all these groups ever do is promise us something we never seem to actually get...oh we might get a few pickings..but then off they go in to the bright blue yonder a few of quids richer, never to be heard of again...

My experience shows me how certain operating platforms work, as for my example does it look that great? but i can jump ship anytime, what i wanted to highlight was that anyone in business shouldnt wear blinkers

a website can be set up for fook all, but if thats thier business good luck to em

Absoulutely, i agree totally with what you say too about all the chancers out there that have probably never driven a cab in their life and are charging a fortune for leads. ABut as our site is free to join, it certainly doesnt bode in the same way as the other sites you are refering to.

What more can one say !

In fear of repeating myself, have a look, if you cant get on with the idea, fine................
