Thankfully I don't have runners, anyone dodgy looking gets sent down to the nearest rank.

I think Yorkie must have several runners a day.

If he doesn't like the 'debate' on here, maybe he and Nidge could start their own forum ( )

It would be good riddance

Come on TDO thats not nice, he's a cantankerous bleeder, but always makes his views known, if the trade is going to get anywhere we need to sort our differences out, far better on here, than the divide to conqueor routine worked by LA's and the government.

Hmm...looks like the usual one rule for TDO and one rule for everyone else.

I may be mildly offensive at times, but only in response to gratuitous offence from other people, so it seems to be a case of people willing to give out 100% but unable to take 25% in return.

I can't see what's wrong with me effectively saying that I'd prefer Yorkie not to be on the forum - clearly he'll think otherwise, but I think my view is reasonable given his past history.

For example, I've watched him on at least five forums, and he's easily the most gratuitously offensive poster I've seen, and for example, has on numerous occassions thought nothing of heaping derision, scorn and ridicule on new members who have come on and asked a perfectly reasonable question, but of course because he knows the answer and others don't then he thinks nothing of belittling them.

So I wonder how many new members and prospective new members have been put off by this kind of thing, not to mention his more generally offensive offerings, which just make the forum look ridiculous and put people off posting.

I for one have often been reluctant to answer queries posted on here because I know I'll be subject to his nonsense, because basically I think a lot of the time he just can't stand the fact that some people know more about a particular topic than he does. Not that the abuse per se worries me, since I long ago concluded that if you know a bit more than other people then some will respect you, some will hate you, but very few will actually like you, but it does get very tiresome and annoying.

I posted a perfectly reasonable post earlier on for example, didn't mention names and just asked everyone to be nice to each other, but you can see his reaction - not his worst by any means, but more than a tad juvenile.

So I can't understand why the captain is one minute pleading for people to stop abusing each other, then if someone like me responds in kind then he crys foul, and even manages to call Yorkie a 'cantankerous bleeder', which isn't particularly offensive, but isn't inoffensive either, and kind of proves the point I'm trying to make.

All this is getting a bit tiresome - in the last few weeks I've spend about 75% of my time on here writing posts regarding issues like this, which shouldn't really be necessary at all, 20% on issues addressed umpteen times before, and about 5% on fairly original stuff.

Thankfully I've got a few busy days ahead, and I won't miss this nonsense one bit.

PS I don't think Yorkie's quite as bad as I make him sound, it's just the way he comes across on here, I take a lot of what he says with a pinch of salt, but sadly I don't think a lot of people reading the forum for the first time will.

Listen Dusty, I am a little patient and I am mellowing, but realy I can recognise a [edited by admin] take when I see it.

I mean right honest and fair some jerk comes on here and says

"I want to be a taxidriver how do I licence a car? how much will it cost? how much will I take in 4 hours a day?

he needs putting off I have a responsibility to him to protect these nutters from themselves.

people need to do research, b4 setting up in buisness!

if someone had been as kind to Mick, in his chosen profesion he may have not gone into it or suceaded.

I am afraid my robust style was coached into me in the Labour Party, and people love to come and watch me public speaking, perhaps its because you dont know the beast!

tell me are you male or femail? you actually come accross to me as the later! I dont know why!

by the way JD has a very robust style, Ive heard it said he does public speaking of sorts, you dont pick on him!

but hes definatly been coached on putting forward arguments, like me he does not suffer fools gladly, and can ram home a message

please understand years of training cannot be dropped to suit.

Yes, you would just LOVE that GA.

No not at all, I know how sickening it is when a lot of hard work is disrupted by people who contribute next to nothing, I have been there mate, had it done to me, I hope you get through it.

I understand why the admin are fighting hard, the whole reason sites like this work, and a contributing factor as to why they fail, is PASSION. When people feel passionately about something they like a place to go and vent their fustrations when things aren't going their way, or have somewhere to go to inform people of when they have effected change that has benefitted their local trade.

I have crossed swords with most prominant members on here, arguments have deteriorated to abuse in many cases, but as far as I'm concerned, being an adult, if anyone was to visit Gateshead or indeed the North East I would greet them with a handshake and buy them a pint or two.

I have spoken with Nidge, in a way he's glad that he was banned, he is glad that he can now contribute if he wants to but I don't think that he will. He was genuinely supprised by the "support" he got, and I said I would pass on his thanks, but he likes to know who he's talking to, who he's giving information to, and this site doesn't.

My advice to the admin, as well as the other members is close this book and start debating issues again, we don't agree on so many things and it is that which makes sites like these so exiting to be part of.
