Maybe in 'your' trade they do Sussex, but in mine we've had one bloke in over 2 decades . . . now this cretin publishes an article going on about hundreds of taxi rapes in London with a picture of a London Black cab.

Do London PH drivers undertake a different CRB/DBS check than London taxi drivers?

The majority of London Minicab drivers are immigrants with no checkable history in the uk.

IMHO the crb checks they undergoe aren't worth the paper they're written on.

And when Tfl tried to introduce a minimum residency for them, the slave drivers like Griffin and Wright just about gagged as it would cut off their supply of sex offenders / Minicab slaves that perform their 16 hour shifts for them.

For the most part they are traditional Islamic names and of Arabic origin but the first guy on the list is Algerian

It doesn't but the author of the article is - in my view - biased.

He could have picked a few British sounding names, perhaps John Worboys, maybe that Edinburgh Taxi Driver who murdered a foreign PH driver, how about the minicab driver that was recently involved in a £1 million drugs heist, maybe Warman from this week viewtopic.php?f=2&t=22667 , maybe Chris Halliwell the PH driver from Swindon who murdered Sian O'Callaghan?

Instead he is selecting Asian only sounding names to back up his fairy story.

If they come from the EU they have checkable history, same for many other countries.

The only problem comes when they seek asylum from a country that wants to kill them. Those countries aren't really that in favour of giving them a good reference, if any reference at all.

However why don't the LTDA lobby for a change in the law to ensure all licensed drivers have a 5/10/20 year checkable history?

That said they still have the same checks as you and me, just because your mob have a good memory doesn't follow that they are lilly white.

In fact I think it's attitudes like yours (not us guv) that allowed Worboys to get away with it for so long.

One in 20 years in comparison to a dozen a week.

Yeah, our system and attitudes dreadful, what an abundance of wrong 'uns drive London taxis.

I suspect the taxi trade throughout the world would like our record opposed to what they have or put up with.

The London taxi trade bodies have been asking for minimum residency terms for years, some even wanted uk passport holders only. But it seems the Minicab barons carry some weight when it comes to their legalised slave trade.

As for asylum seekers, I wasn't aware there was too many state sponsored killings from Pakistan, Bosnia etc

Anti islamic you will find, search for him and once you've finished reading his articles, you may agree with him and share his concerns or you may wonder what he's on about.

As for the names of the drivers, even you wannabe can tell the majority are muslim names..

dedicating 2 to 3 years of your life to achieve something like the knowledge of London will obviously weed out any chaff - the main issue here is how good the CRB actually is - certainly in some of the cases cited - where the drivers where completely unlicensed then that's purely down to enforcement actions and sentences for those caught being harsh.

What we do about those who are licensed and commit such offences is another question - but a harsh sentence may deter.

As for the article - it was selective in those it chose to name.
