It seems to me that you are determined to do this job and hats off to you for that. As suggested try it first to see if it suits you and don't forget to put at least one day to the side for your family. If your income doesn't turn out that great you may well still be able to claim housing benefit if you rent, child tax allowance and working tax allowance as they are currently, I think they'll be changing to universal credits in the very near future if they haven't already done so, but, make sure you get what you're entitled to. Once you get used to it you will be able to pick the best hours to work, assuming you have an open shift system at the place you go. Also if you get your operators licence you will be able to take your own bookings as well and source your own school run without having to give a % to the circuit you're on.
