i will check with the lads at the testing station next week & get back to you on this though
well, like i said here is the a update, i asked the lads at the testing station & they confirmed as long as i have a valid MOT the car cant be taken off the road for emissions,, so even though it failed on emissions, i had a MOT until the 13th of feb so my plate was still valid until 31 st of jan when it ran out, on another note i gave it back to my mech on Monday to sort out , got it back today & £178 lighter, he replaced all the filters, put 2 cans of treatment in , cleaned all the lines out , & he got it tested & it passed no problem, so took it back to the testing station for the retest , another £20 , it was fooking worse than when it went in on friday

, so i phoned my mech from the testing station :
me - "alreet mate"
him- "aye how did it go mate"
me- " have you herd the expression flying colours??
him - "aye"
me - "well it fooking failed with flying colours"
so, up to now
£300 for test
£266 for pre test at the mechs
£178 for the second bit after the fail
£ 20 for partial retest
£38 for the second full test ( when i get it back)
£400 loss of earnings over the weekend ( approx)
if i didn't laugh i would cry
that's £1,202 so far & ne further forward & still no car
