A lot of talk here in Warrington today regarding Pink Ladies. Today was suppose to be D-Day where they would either become legal or illegal but nothing seems to have happened. The cars are still running (without plates) and nobody seems to know what's happening.

Bill :)

You can't be serious? Maybe they are all going to weddings or perhaps funerals?

Regards

The law may have changed from today but the number of people enforcing the law hasn't and whils enforcement officers are given more work than they can do in the alloted time, nothing will change.

Turning up for a funeral in a pink Kango now that would be different!

According to one of their supporters (spokesperson) the company are today operating 100% legal but then again they’ve always said that. I can’t quite see this being down to lack of enforcement because this has been a high profile dispute for so long and everyone in the trade in this area was waiting for the outcome. Warrington’s enforcement officers aren’t going to knowingly set themselves up for accusations of not actually caring about enforcement are they?

Bill :)

I presume you mean police officers don't enforce the law of driving without insurance in respect of unlicensed vehicles. Well I have to agree with you because they turn a blind eye to thousands of taxi drivers doing it every weekend and that includes both private hire and hackney drivers who pick up off the street out of their licensed area. I guess its all down to priorities and an ignorance of the law.
