From todays Lincolnshire Echo...

"New route system is a price buster"

After 18 years of using a "zone to zone" system 180 car firm Discount Cabs has invested in more sophisticated MapPoint technology for pre booked trips.
The old method took the journey distance as the crow flies and added 20%, but the Monson Street based bussiness's new software can more accurately judge the distance travelled.
"The old system stood us in very good stead for those years, but at the back end of last year, we decided to change." said managing director ***** ****.
"We found that more people aren't travelling long distances by taxi and the number of short journeys was increasing"
"With this new system we hoped to knock the prices down by 10 to 15 per cent and we've found that people are very appreciative"

END.

Are the drivers as happy?

Could you post any of my ad's from the news paper please jimbo, maybe you can also post a copy of my jingle off the radio while you are at it?

PS. Thanks for the free advertising mate.

My campaign has nothing to do with taking on extra drivers, it's all about ensuring my current drivers continue to make a decent living, once i take care of that who knows what the future holds.

A Royal flush or a busted flush?

At least one of your drivers knows his future. In the bankruptcy court according to wednesday's echo.

Far too many people are choosing bankruptcy as a get out jail free card these day's, IMO.
