Shell has dropped theirs round here to 138.9.       Can't for the life of me understand people who travel 3 miles and pass three filling stations to put some fuel in @ 1-2P cheaper a litre then drive the 3 miles back home passing the same filling stations.

My neighbour does it I've tried explaining to him he's losing money doing it that way but once they see it's cheaper they'll travel for it.[/quote]

Sounds about right I have a golden rule that if I'm nearer home than morrisons I use BP if I'm nearer morrisons I use them 2p a litre difference is quickly wiped out by the 2.5 miles from morrisons to home at the end of the shift[/quote]

My local shell have just reduced diesel by 4p? £1.34

i bet he does 100 miles a week but fills his tank right up to save 1p/ltr then has to lug a full tank around...

and i bet his boot is full of stuff he never uses, his tyres are under inflated, he races away at traffic lights and races up to them and has to stop for a green light each time.....10% extra is out there for them that can learn

oh, and he thinks speed limits are minimums not maximums

Only use Shell or BP but I won't go out of my way to save 2p a litre.

I have no problem with private investors and private money. Never have done.
But there's a difference between investing in something risky, and using bribery or corruption to make it a sure thing.

If there's one thing I hate more than a corrupt [edited by admin], its a stupid [edited by admin] who can't or won't see that there anything wrong with corruption.

You hate Tories but have you got any left up in Scotland? and why keep on if your gonna be independent after you freedom vote?...

wont it all be milk and honey afterwards?

Here we go again....no answers so let's just try to belittle the sweaty porridge [edited by admin] instead.

I hope you burn your arse next time you flush the bog, you pathetic little sycophant.

Your anti-english, anti-tory and anti-wannabee...pmsl

We've got both within a mile of each other. I go past Asda on my way home but still fill up at Shell or BP.

Just fine thanks. :D
We subsidise you bunch of spongers, after all. (and that's according to your own government's figures.)

A better question would be how you lot are going to get by without our taxes subsidising you, as they have done since the 70's?

You'll be run by a bunch of Tory crooks who avoid taxes, dish out the nations money in multi-million pound packages to their family and friends and change the law retrospectively when it gets in their way.

Who ya gonna blame when the disabled have all miraculously been cured and the immigrants have been driven back into the sea? Not those nice banking people who blew all the country's dough? Surely not! Not those honest media moguls who only tell you the truth and wouldn't dream of lying to you? Heaven forbid!

You'll have no nukes, no place on the security council or in Europe. Your NHS will be history, as will a century of hard won workers' rights and any protection you have under human rights.
All of you working gratis for the richest scumbags in your country, hoping like f*ck they fund your healthcare and housing when you get too sick or old to work, rather than just sack you and leave you to starve on the streets.
The value of your pound will plummet without our balance of payments surplus. Law will be for those few who can afford it, likewise healthcare and housing. Victorian values at last.
Thatcher will be dancing in hell, while you lot all vote for it like lemmings jumping off a cliff

So, assuming that your vote goes for independence, how do you see thing going in Scotland under the SNP? How do you see things a few years down the line when the SNP are not the Government?

I don't have a crystal ball grandad. I can't predict the make up or policies of any future Scottish government, any more than you could predict the results of the 2015 Westminster election. With all three of your main parties wedded to neo-liberalism and the austerity agenda, the future policies of Westminster are much easier to predict, regardless of the election result.

I have said in the past that I don't see the SNP surviving much past independence. With their main raison d'être gone, I think the various factions will split.
Likewise the left overs of the Unionist parties. There will be a massive realignment of the whole political scene up here. Just how that will pan out is anyone's guess.
Salmond will be over 60 by the conclusion of independence negotiations and he will by then be at the pinnacle of his political career. What better time to retire, his life's work accomplished?

I'll predict this much though. Whoever governs an independent Scotland in the next decade or two will be far more left leaning than anything we have seen from Westminster since the seventies or will see if we vote to stay.

But then again you'll need all the money to sort out the alcoholics, fatties and druggies.

Call me Dave and his fudge packing money man Gideon are rubbing the Scottish up the right way, they're saying things they want to here.
