I'm a hackney carriage driver, and I have to admit that I don't always wear my badge when not working. For example, i never wear it in the bath.

Received a letter of apology for possible poor treatment and inconvenience caused, explaining that officer weren't out of line, etc. I am happy with that tbh, as my main issue was being spoken to as if I commited some sort of serious crime. Sorted

Havent you seen the office staff (council usually) who take a dinner break, walk round town and keep their ID badges on?...

Working Time Directive, Drivers Hours (not applicable to taxi/ph yet...).
