Told you.
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=rnf4BNM7BuY A video, by Mr A. Shelter. Now in fairness, and in light of our newly found 'polite' phase here on TDO, I'd have to say over a year ago scenes like this could have been filmed, especially at Paddington as the Heathrow trains don't stop until about 1. The Grosvenor usually attracts a large queue, because jobs tend to be of good quality, and let’s face it rather a rank full of licensed Taxi's opposed to the little men in their 'taxees'. Victoria? It's gotten busier down there, no one can argue with that, but I'm still doing fine on my chosen nights. What were you humming?

I am not professing that the "Game Is Dead", I just made a comment that the recession is starting to affect our work on nights. Paddington was filmed at 5 pm on Tuesday night. You can see its twilight time. Wasn't working just popping down to cook me mothers dinner. Victoria was filmed at 11 pm same night. the Grosvenor and the Hilton around midnight. I was humming a few bars from the Taxi Theme tune. It had just been playing on the radio and I thought it would have been appropriate but forgot to add it to the final cut and I have already used it before. So you just have to put up with the humming. Thanks for the plug though, You can of course subscribe to my youtube site save you keep searching, they email you every time I post a new video. Nice to see you still watching. You thought I was mad, you should check out this guy he is great! http://uk.youtube.com/user/legalchallenge |

What I find worrying about the Paddington is that the media regard it as a barometer for the London Taxi trade and therefore London. During 12 to 2,many put on the rank to eat their lunch and read the paper. Very often,I pass the stationary rank to get into the station to set down only to see a queue of people waiting for taxis! |

You are of course right, most of them are either reading or eating. Personally I like to keep moving, you never know what can turn up on a rank these days. But we must not be blinkered. The recession is starting to affect us. The clubs in the city are not open as many nights now and the touts from there are sailing on into town. Last night, Regent Street was closed to traffic but the Touts were gaining access to rank outside Coco's via air street. They were driving the wrong way up a one way street. I reported this to police but two hours later they were still there. |

We could charge the survey to their wages and pay the extra staff by deducting a % of the same wage. They surely couldn't complain they'd still have a job and they wouldn't have to do as much cos the work is being shared and the of course the ultimate pleasure of giving a better service to the licenced trade would surely keep them smiling

The other day a lorry went the wrong way down a one way street which has a sharp blind bend on it (which is why it is one way!) the police sat at the top of the road watched it for a minute and then drove off |

I never suggested you did MrA, I was was mearly pointing out similar scenes like you filmed have always taken place, recession or no recession. When I pulled into Euston around 9pm last night, I could have shown the rank backed all the way up the ramp, but then I could have also shown me leaving about 15 mins later with a trip to Hammersmith. The recession will have an affect, however I've only worked two nights so far this week, and I'm still doing fine. Many people have commented how refreshing it is to get a taxi without waiting 20 mins in the cold after the theatre burst. thomasthetaxi wrote: You can of course subscribe to my youtube site save you keep searching,
Would love to Mr A, but sadly I have no need for an account.

Its starting to bite in to cabbies takings. Perhaps they may wish to join an association now and try to motivate the leaders into some sort of action. Tall order I know after so many years of inaction. But if I can do my bit, I'm only to pleased. ![]() GBC wrote: Would love to Mr A, but sadly I have no need for an account.
![]() You might get a video camera for Christmas. With your interest in films you never know, just look at what "Stormcab" Jason has achieved. Nice to have a hobby that gets you out.
