One of the owners here is alleged to have done this, allegedly :?:

I got done for using my mobile when it first came into force you couldn't then 10 mins later the same bobby told me off for beeping my horn, I think he must have been bored eusasmiles.zip

It's probably more illegal to ply for hire than to kerb crawl :lol: he could always say he thought she wanted directions or something

I heard of a driver being suspended by his LA for similar.

Driver at my firm got done for kerb crawling, when his licence came up for renewal the PCO knocked him back.
He appealed and won.

If you take a punter, knowing that he is going to hire a prostitute, buy drugs, rob a bank etc, then you have committed a crime yourself.

Actually i believe the government are proposing to do just that make it illegal for a man to pay a prostitute for sex so if those changes to the law come in it could be a prison sentance !


I think it does vary a lot from one police force to another as to how tough on kerb crawling they get and most licensing committees are elected politicians so they do tend to like to take the moral high ground so it is a bit of stupid thing for a cabbie to do
