One of my mates approached me last month - he wanted to put some business cards in my cab to advertise his business and said for every bit of business he would pay me £100 per person.

He is in the accident management business so for everyone who I recommend who has had a non fault car accident etc and injured I get £100, so far recommended 2 people who signed up and made extra £200 for just recommending them :D .

I wouldnt normally recommend this but as he is a mate etc and runs a good business thought this might be a bit of extra cash for everyone without any hassle

Let me know what you think and if interested get in touch and will pass details on.

It certainly is.

If you PM me your details etc, will contact him this morning to get them to post some cards out to you and give you a quick call as well if okay.

Can't he keep up with the ambulances going to A&E?

I spoke to him after popping the post on - he appreciated what I was trying to do re gesture but was annoyed that I stated the price I got paid etc.

Not to pay lower but the fact he can pay higher for the non fault injury car accidents etc. As a mate the £100 does me nicely :D .

Just to be clear it is informal arrangement and simply by passing on details they get them signed up etc - I dont know about the other stuff but he is happy if anyone wants to get in touch with him direct for extra cash etc.

Just PM me and will pass on his number etc for anyone to have a quick chat about any concerns and getting started etc.

Thanks but no Thanks...I can get all the legal cover I want for A Tenner extra on my insurance premiums...im sure your friends a genuine bloke but if he is making money out of other peoples misfortune that money has to be coming from somewhere..and my guess is its coming from car insurance, so im not going to participate in a scheme that is likely to make that which is already expensive enough more expensive still due to greedy individuals making money from other peoples misery.

I think we are all getting a bit P*ssed off with this Sue/Claim culture and the Vulture that Perpetuate it.

Fair enough like, but from what my mate says the insurance companies sell the claims on anyway, the hire and injury etc to credit hire companies and solicitors for fees, thus inflating insurance premiums anyway. Bizarre that when you think about it, never knew that existed.

Dont know about anyone else but struggling a little lately and the extra cash comes in handy for doing nothing much really, I cant afford to take the moral high ground and if not me passing the details over then trust me someone else will be.

my council wont allow "ads on cabs" (as it were) only the taxi/PH company contact details, whereas next door/next LA does

no consistency is there

they put my design for signage on hold to put new proposals to a committee meeting cos i dared to suggest using the rear side panels, even though thier own rules state thats ok for 8 seaters, yet a fiat doblo in town has signs all the way doen the sides....

but thats the biggest firm in town so can probably get away with anything
