What a strange person the previous owner must have been. I mean who on earth would buy a brand new vehicle less than a year before retiring. All that depriciation!

The new owners a strange person, after all the warnings on TDO he goes and buys one.
He could have had a brand new E7 or the equivalents with 5 years unlimited mileage, or even the standard Vito.
I wonder if its had its recall yet??????????

Again I ask,£300 per month over how many years?

Many 'one stop garages' where you can buy a taxi, get HP and warranty are doing a 'Dixons/Currys'.
They sell the taxi at cost and make their money on the HP and warranty.

I've heard a lot of good things about their operation, but they're too far out of London for me.

I thought you had just got your 02 reg done up with a new timing chain tensioner etc?

I personally think you would have been better to run your TX2 for a while longer. After all the bad publicity surrounding the TX4 fires, LTI will almost certainly change the engines they are using and re-badge as TX5 or similar - possibly sometime next year. Provided they survive all the compo claims and have indeed solved the fire problem, that is.

Also there may be more choice as the Vito becomes available in larger numbers, the new Metrocab we keep hearing about and the possibility of other types becoming available. The turning circle itself may even be dropped from the COF, though probably not in the next year or two.

I did my homework on this, an overwhelming amount of TX4 owners (even 56 plated) are very happy with them and I for one agree with them, I would love to know how many slagemoff drivers have actually drove one, for me it ticks all the boxes, remember it is a whole new drivetrain and earlier models are bound to need tweaking as problems may develope over usage time as in this case and now these problems are largely sorted now I think it could be every bit as successful as the Nissan!
The reason I went for it was although I was happy with the TX2 and had all the work done I only had one month left to pay on it so for tax reasons coupled with a smashing deal offered I decided to take a chance.
I am completely convinced that if you drive them properly, and service them at good garages it makes all the difference, 150k on my TX2 before I had the timing gear done! some drivers I spoke to are well into their second one by this time.

Anyone else happy with their TX4?
