| Post subject: | M4 bus lane...... |
I had a job out to Terminal 5 this morning, first time out there as being a night worker i rarely get a job to the flyers......coming back on the M4 into London i was driving down the bus lane and noticed a couple of private hire drivers also using the lane which as far as i'm aware is unlawful. As i drove along the traffic was grinding to a halt in the other 2 lanes so carried on along the bus lane as usual when suddenly from my right a PH driver pulled into the bus lane in his merc and accelerated away!! I thankfully managed to brake to avoid any collision but surely it's only a matter of time before an accident happens that could be fatal! Once again, a few PH muppets thinking the law doesn't apply to them, sadly if no positive action is taken by the authorities i fear this will become the norm.

I've noticed a massive increase in PH using the bus lane. There are a couple of cameras but I presume no-one is watching and they are getting away with it. With a 20 minute delay sitting with the rest of the traffic I suppose its worth a chance. Be Lucky |

Its not numbers of seats either but simply whether or not its VAN derived..not small vans like Escort vans as those are Car Derived Vans rather than Van Derived cars....see..clear as mud.

I thought there where cameras on the M4 bus lane. It's not just PHV's useing it, ive seen normal cars using it. BTW, I saw a black cab driver smoking in is cab tonight and he had a sat nav stuck to the screen, both ilegal as far as i'm aware. |
