Dropping off they are all ok, but T5 is by far the best.

Picking up in a big motor is best by mobile phone to you at MacDonalds or the like.

Use your change for a large meal.

Wait at the Esso garage on the outer perimiter on the way to term 4 and get the punter to phone you from baggage reclaim  Tell them what car your in and ring them as you approach the pick up at the terminal (hands free of course) and happy days

I did a pick up from T2 last month my VW transporter fitted under the height bar (just) went down there today to the sheraton skyline I was surprised how easy a run it was ! expected the M25 to be much heavier going

I think those passengers are due back on New years day (Night)

I have managed to park a transit conversion in all the car parks, so unless you have something bigger you should be ok.

Oh, and don't forget to take the ariels off.

Use the mobile.

McDonald's on Bath Road for T1, 2 & 3. Esso Garage on Southern Perimeter Road for T4 & 5.

Most people are quite happy to have a prior arrangement to make contact by mobile; It reassures them that you are actually there!!

I send them a text when I arrive in the area, knowing they are probably still on the aircraft. As soon as they are able, they phone me and we finalise the detailed pick-up arrangements then. Works a treat with the emphasis on 'prior arrangement.'

i explain that the cost of waiting in the collection/dropoff areas is £15/hr, that usually sets an alarm bell ringing.

like bloody carry on film or a brian rix farce

took a contact down who decides to inform that (as we approach T2 dropoff) he has no phone credit, and 1 of the group is coming not from madrid but from germany....or switzerland...and doesnt speak english (the contact was chiliean so i shoulda guessed that)

then i nip to (the wrong) macydees and await the call, except i have to ring him

says he has all the group together, i tell em T2 short stay and he shouts as i pass dropoff "im here", sure enough all 7 are at the T2 dropoff....

so i stops and loads and shoots off.....bad PH driver!
