Had a new shareholder come in the office to pay the shared running costs

"Right heres your money less £10 for the runner I had last week"

"Why is a runner the fault of the company?"

"Because you should check that they can pay before you take the booking"

The last words from the office were"You can ***** off and your a tenner short"

Playing devils advocate would no doubt make for an interesting debate but I'm not going there.

Her reckoning was as the office took the booking then the office should ensure the punter could pay the fare.
Not her driver, the person that acually sees the punter.

If he is a shareholder then that means all the other shareholders are paying for his runner.

What a Image.

I suppose an argument could be that with PH the contract is between the operator and the passenger?

But when the punter gets in the car and the driver says "Where to?" and the punter gives the destination isn't there a verbal contract between punter and driver? :?
