Had a new shareholder come in the office to pay the shared running costs "Right heres your money less £10 for the runner I had last week" "Why is a runner the fault of the company?" "Because you should check that they can pay before you take the booking" The last words from the office were"You can ***** off and your a tenner short" |

Her reckoning was as the office took the booking then the office should ensure the punter could pay the fare. Not her driver, the person that acually sees the punter.

But when the punter gets in the car and the driver says "Where to?" and the punter gives the destination isn't there a verbal contract between punter and driver?
