It would appear MrA has also been caught on camera by Westminster Council, now if he had been a member of the LTDA he could have received some top advice like me.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=RprzL_cAvpM

I think (for a change  ) he's making out the Minicab wasn't 'PCN'd' as the council are corrupt, however the Taxi blocked the Minicabs registration mark quite well, I'm sure the Minicab driver will be eternally grateful!!

I reckon he was making his way to the Whitcomb Street PH rank! :D

Well Mr A (TTT) posted it on there so I assume he's removed it.

Don't know why, it never showed his registration' or plate number.

It was a council Smart Car video of him doing a naughty right turn at the bottom of St Martins Lane. [-X

Its back! :D http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=HMFoK3LWa44

In fairness to Mr A, it acts as a reminder to anyone driving in London, that these Cars are multiplying as the months go on.

Hi have you missed me then?
Fancy talking behind my back, what a cheek
Actually I am surprised you thought it was my cab.
You can clearly see in the video that the cab in question, one of my friends, has adverts on the side.
Now as you have been round and viewed my Taxi you would know I don't have adverts. I don't like them but that's another story. [-X

I made and posted this video in the context that the operator was singling out Licensed taxi's and letting PHV's off.
I have the luxury of the whole video which I can't publish as it show detailed faces and others number plates, but I hope the short clip I did show illustrates my point.
The driver involved decided, quite rightly not to waist time by appealing as the video clearly shows him disregarding the sign.
He actually is a member of the LTDA and John Thomas advised him to pay the find after viewing the original video on Westminster web site
Don't forget to keep logging on to my site as the new LTCPR will launch at the end of this month.
From early next week, we intend to publish our aims for the coming year and lay out the plans of action we will be taking.
We have already got the ball rolling with Luke Howard looking into setting up a new enforcement Squad to deal with the lines of touts outside night venues. He will also be looking at the clipboard operations.
I'm pretty sure that the LTDA will be claiming this is down to them, but it doesn't matter who gets what praise as long as action is finally taken.
Thanks again to all the drivers who have supported the first two email campaigns so far this year. =D>
regards
Jim Thomas

We've all missed you Mr A.

I'd say in this case the driver was banged to rights, I'm sure you've seen this weeks Taxi, my little right turn and the lack of evidence by WCC is highlighted in Barry Hoopers column.

I'm not sure how you interpret the Minicab in this clip as 'getting let off', it seems your mate has acted as a perfect shield for him!

I would have thought with the amount of publicity this turn has had, he might have been aware of it?

A bit like me in Reeves mews last year, I had to swallow that one, but I'm not going down without a fight on Rathbone Place.

Around 50 drivers are now appealing! \:D/

As I said,
the beginning of the video, which I cut, showed the number plate of the private hire van , only for a second but it was visable if you stop the frame.
I will never know if the driver received a ticket but going by the way the camera operator zoomed in on the Taxi I would say the phv got off.
Allegedly
I have had a look at the signs on the signals at Rathbone Place, even took a picture and although the box is still there it does say, in small print, except cycles [-X
In my opinion the signage is not as clear as it could be and I personally think it is misleading.
I hope you and the other drivers win your appeal \:D/

It may well do, but the camera which films you is located opposite in Soho Street.

I see no signs in the footage they've sent me?! And I can't remember seeing anything on the night, I guess someone must have covered them up! 8)

By the way, have you seen the front cover of this weeks Taxi?

It looks like a page from your website, you must have influenced them after all?

They had a temporary one on the diversion route whilst the Americans futher destroyed Grosvenor Square last year.

Apparantly the toffs of Reeves Mews did'nt like cars driving down their street.

Always appeal council tickets. I believe Westminster's tickets are a pile of cr*p.
