A friend needs to get a cab from Euston and was qouted 18 pounds from a firm on the internet, I thought that sounded a little over the top. Would the journey be about 20 minutes depending on traffic and how many miles is it? Regards JD |

The northern line on the underground takes 7 minutes for this journey and there are trains every 4 minutes.
£1.60 with an Oyster card or £4.00 cash. |

£8.00 first class....... ![]() First class in a TX, you have got to be kidding. I assume that the passenger will be arriving by train at Euston, so he will be used to cattle class. Another 7 minutes wouldn't make much difforence.

Regards JD About 2 miles, in around 15 mins providing they're not planning to travel between 8am and 10 am when it gets a tad busy. Of course Grandad the unlicensed, claims to know more about London and it's transport systems / routes than a London Taxi driver, so perhaps he can advise everyone on a few bus routes? I'm sure your friend will be impressed with the Bus and Tube network, they may even catch it on a day when it's working, not jammed solid with sweaty bodies, or people aren't being blown up on it. |

Slight problem, the Taxi would'nt be allowed on the concourse at Waterloo Station.
I'm sure JD's associate will find the taxi rank, it's underneath Euston Sations concourse with big signs saying 'TAXIS' accompanied by directional arrows pointing the way down. |

What do you mean unlicensed? I don't claim to know anything about the London transport system. I just looked it up on the TFL website. |
