can anyone tell me why they have these boxes in the passenger side of fairways & tx taxis that are yellow when for hire and go to a blue light when hired |

They've always had them in purpose builts as far back as I remember. No idea of the reason, maybe it's for midgets who can't see the roof light??

I thought that when the taxi sign (roof) and the dash one were off you were off "duty" and when hired the little blue one showed you were working but hired I could be wrong I usually am but wgaf?

I could be wrong I usually am but wgaf? ![]() That is correct but I think the point is why have a hired light? If the cab is not for hire what does it matter to anyone if the reason it is not for hire is because it is hired or because the driver isn't working? |

Its so the police know wether your working or not, if your not workin they could do you for not wearing your seat belt |
