| Post subject: | London Demonstration - 5th February |
Apparently there’s a massive drive in planned for the 5th of February in protest at Westminster Councils 'war' on Taxi's through their CCTV cameras and Traffic Wardens. Also the issue around WCC allowing to all extents and purposes a Mini Cab 'rank' to service the W1 Cars operation in Leicester Square. Should be interesting.
Check out the latest issue of 'TAXI' (28/01/09) which should be on this link very shortly. http://www.taxinewspaper.co.uk/ |

Ive read this month's taxi, yet more lies and mis-information. Unless the london taxi trade put together a logical, concise and TRUTHFUL arguement, i'm afraid they won't get anywhere. |

Poland for example, or annexe Austria, just like the good old days xylophone a much underestimated instrument. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=YmnY18btB54&feature=related CC Wasnt it the Glockenspiel that they played in **** sympathysing Austria, that much loved Instrument used to great effect by the Waffen SS oompah Bands. Could it be that the Waffen SS are still alive and well and go under the Heading Traffic Wardens...some are even Called Little Hitler after the great man himself. Hmmm...it all starting to make sense now, Hitlers "Mein Kampf" (my Struggle) was in actual fact a referance to the Reich councils constant struggle to rid the world of Taxis and Taxi drivers by persecuting them until the went out of business. Maybe Hitler isnt dead and the Third Reich is alive and well and Masquerading under the Guise of every single local authority in Britain. they'll be setting TX 4 Taxis on fire next on Feuer Nacht..or is that stretching the imagination to far. There are startling similarities...see for yourself. Maybe not exactly as Hitler had intended..but needs must its 2009, Equal rights, multi cultural britain and Staff shortages etc..a highly dedicated crew.
Westminsters the name....Annihilations the game....

I hear via a PM, some of the neanderthal types from the 'violence and vigilante forum' are beating their hairy chests with eager anticipation over this one. You just know the local News will seek them out for that 'special' interview consisting of words with no more than one syllable, grunts and all.

Nothing wrong with being passionate about ones trade and wanting to do something to safeguard against unfair practices GBC...........i like to think of myself as reasonably articulate, moderately intelligent and hopefully capable of more than just monosyllabilic (did i just make that word up?) conversation! I shall be there on Thursday and hopefully will a great many others, yet others i'm sure will choose to carry on regardless and work as normal, well that's their perogative but at least i know that i can hold my head up and say i was prepared to stand up for my trade! As for violence and vigilantism, i have seen no mention of that as far as this demo is concerned though in other threads drivers have been known to get heated about certain subject matter.......a long way from actually condoning physical violence! It would be comforting to know that you actually support your industry but so far most of what i've seen you post is in the negative! You seem to take great pleasure in besmirching the reputation of your fellow taxi drivers and don't seem to have a good word to say about those who endevour to make a difference. Perhaps the demonstration will be futile, perhaps the time will be better spent smashing our own heads against the wall, but if even one person is made aware of the legalities concerning touting and that person is spared the ordeal of rape or serious sexual assault then i'll personally feel we are making headway. Be lucky fella and hope to see you join us next week..........it's a few hours and it just might make a difference. |

You know I was'nt referring to you, Mr A or Rambo. You'll be very aware of the knuckledraggers I'm talking about. I'll bet my bottom dollar it will be the likes of them who get interviewed, it always is. Aticulate reasonable drivers don't make the News, the 'know what I mean' crew always do.

I guess that shows what little some people who frequent forums know about me then.
Unlike some who seem to crave the limelight, I'm happy just plodding away in the background, after all that's where the real work takes place, not puffing out those hairy chests and flabby bellys on anonymous computer forums. Know what I mean? |
