Switched the phones on at 06.00 did my first job at 07.45 but the phones just haven't rung much and I've managed just two jobs off the rank gave up at 16.00

Toady after fuel I managed to take £32.20 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats just £3.22 per hour not counting overheads !

I'm just hoping that today is a one off and not a sign of things to come

I suppose it's a good thing to get the worst day of the year out of the way by March. [-o<

I only did one job today, my return from near Brum.

Early night, start at 0400 tomorrow. Normally pays off OK. We'll see.

Past caring. If don't earn I don't eat it won't kill me well at least not yet.

The ony thing I miss is not going out for drinks

Same round here last night was a train wreck, the pubs were empty, cabs sat on the rank, night buses running empty and nothing out of the clubs when they kicked out. It's going to get much much worse.

Well, my early morning worked OK. It wasn't spectacular but it achieved what I was hoping for.

A further thought: It is the worst week of most months, particularly so at this time of year, in my experience. Next weekend will give a far better indication of the state of things, IMHO.
