Would someone be kind enough to give me an idea on two fares, please?

1. Heathrow, T1,2 or 5, to Mayfair.

2. Victoria Station to Mayfair.

My neice is coming over from Spain and is trying to decide between Gatwick and Heathrow.

Many thanks. :)

Far cheaper to get the Gatwick express to Victoria then a cab the short distance to Mayfair.

That's my feeling as well but, as usual, I need detailed evidence to present to my sister, hence the question!

Victoria to Mayfair is about 2 miles and according to the PCO the fare would be between £7 and £11.

Heathrow to Mayfair is about 16 miles, so can't see much change out of £70.

I think it's worth remembering that flying into Gatwick is often a lot cheaper than Heathrow.

Why not Gatwick and National Express to Sussex, Gatwick is the natural choice if you live east.

Very helpful. Someone is coming from Spain and wants to go to Mayfair and you sugest a coach to Sussex!!! And since when has Spain been east of England?

Avoid Heathrow like the plague.
Gatwick Express to Victoria, pick 'n' choose an empty taxi from the rank.
She should get change from £10 depending on which part of Mayfair, traffic, time of day and tariff.
