What version is it? The earlier 8. versions had problems with the update, I believe it was fixed in the recent 8.5. http://free.avg.com/download-avg-anti-v ... ee-edition Completely uninstall the old version before installing the new one. |

We're OK on AVG. Download the free version which, as it is enhanced, prompts you to upgrade to the next version. Auto virus check and file update every night. Works perfectly. NB; They have changed their name recently to free.avg.com (I believe!) |

Thanks for that Darren, I have deleted 8.5 and reinstalled it twice now, but it wont update. had to get windows reinstalled yesterday and lost everything 
Now email wont except my password that was regenerated 4 times by vodafone |

I haven't had any viruses since I started using it. I used to use AVG but found version 8 was slowing my computer down. |
