Has anyone else found CABDIRECT a rubbish firm to deal with :?:

Well I have only bought one vehicle from them (A new E7) but it was delivered on time,cost what it was supposed to cost and the only warranty issue I have had was dealt with in pretty good time.

Having said all that the electric steps on my E7 are garbage, I would change them tomorrow.

I had to purchase a second hand E7 on account mine got written off by another driver. The 06 was advertised at 96.500 miles but I only found out after trusting them and signing for it that it had nearly 105.000 miles on the clock, I pointed out to them what had happened, and guess what - THEY DO NOT WANT TO KNOW.

To put it bluntly, they are a fair sized company with a back street "Arthur Daley" mentality, I would say that they are a rubbish firm and not to be trusted. One thing for certain is that the original E7 sliding doors will give you nothing but trouble and that I guarantee.

If you look at their website they notify you that anything advertised on their website is basically covered by a disclaimer - in other words, whatever you see is not necessarily true and we will not be held responsible :shock:

They told us In Leeds if they got the easy slide ramp passed which they needed the trades help in doing so, they would sell it to us for £23,995.

Now its passed they are asking for £26,500. Plus trad-in went down by £1000 with in a space of 4 weeks

dodgey company the 5 year warranty not worth the paper its written on. The second hand e7s 4/5 years old with only 75k on yer avin a laugh. Most are double shifted & done 250k. Even an owner driver will have done 30k per year x4 years =120k & thats a low estimate. I suspect they do give them a good overhaul though. Would you buy a car off a dealer with 4 hard years for 12k not a chance :lol:

Funny you should say that, I took mine in for a 12.000 mile service to a garage that I use regularly, and without being prompted he said it looked like it had not been serviced for ages. :sad: They claim that they do a 40 odd point check before they come to you - But! how do you know?

i bought a year old euro 7 from cab direct in glasgow a few years ago

showing 35000 miles which i thought wasnt too bad, when i picked it up

the key tag showed 94000 miles and the service record was complete to

80000.... when i pointed this out they said the key tag was wrong and

the service book must be out another taxi.... would of been better

complaining to a brick wall ](*,) they took the service book out the

taxi which clearly showed the registration and said they would get a new

one.... as i was paying £16500 through finance i decided to contact the

finance company who eventually got them to take the taxi back and

scrub the finance deal.... as a result i wouldnt buy anything from them

again.......

I see so called bargains on all the taxi sellers websites. You just have to ask yourself how many miles do you do in a year? The answer must be 40 to 50k , mine is higher but I do a lot of motorway work. I used to know of companies that double shift vehicles, keep them 2 years, then flog-em to joe public with 160+k. The punter knew exactly what the vehicles were and paid accordingly. They were all sold very quickly. It seems like Cabdirect or the original owners of the vehicles may of been playing with the speedo's.

I would rather be careful than get the post struck off, for saying that Cabdirect clock all their second hand vehicles....which of course they don't! 8) 8)

I remember many years ago a driver had the right hump with Cab Direct and spent half his life on here telling the tale.

In time I think Cab Direct contacted him and they came to an arrangement where his issues would be sorted if he kept of TDO. :shock:

dont forget you can check past MOT mileages for free on the VOSA site, you need the current test certificate number (the V5 is a help)

I was saved from buying a 225K mile mondeo with 85k on the clock.....

if you buy a vehicle and find the mileage has been through "british summer time" (clocks back) then you have been defrauded of the difference in value between what you thought you bought and what you got
