If you are going to start up afresh, I would advise getting a good freephone number.

One company up here phoned a number (202020)and when the person answered the phone offered to give them money for it.As some who know the situation in Dundee the number is similar to another firm (203020).The firm who bought the number have not advertised it but they have had some jobs of people who mistakenly thinking they have called 203020.

Maybe you could think of a good number then phone it and ask to buy it.

Good luck with it, concentrate on service rather than price, you'll get a better class of customer and recruit drivers easier that way, don't be to over the top on price, but 50p - £1 more will ensure you aren't running around all night doing drug runs.

If I was setting up a firm I would buy a number that repeats i.e. 856856.

Then I would name the firm 856 cabs.
