It would seem the door staff at NOBU have some direct line to the Police at West End Central Police Station, or do they phone individual officers mobiles to request an attendance? It's very quick. Normal?

It would seem that it's mainly young male PC's around 20 - 30 who respond and with lots of smiles and back slaps to the door staff. Normal professional behaviour?

It would seem several of them may 'blag it in' off duty with their warrant cards. Normal professional behaviour?

It would seem a very undesirable situation could exsist which requires investigation by the Professional Standards Unit concerning abuse of authority and neglect of duty in failing to move the illegaly ranked Minicabs and picking on the awaiting Taxi's instead.

It would appear you can do this online, and there's a few people on another forum in a galaxy not to far away who enjoy an E-Mail or two.

Nuff said.

Make up your own minds if you think it warrants a complaint, and this is from me, who is one of the Mets biggest supporters.

I have.

I can tell you one thing, there's nothing Divisional Commanders hate more than statistics showing an increase in complaints against their officers.

cheers for the heads up GBC, i actually went into West End Central the other night to lodge a complaint that the touts were double parked the whole length of the street and that no one seemed to be in attendance. I was told that someone would be dispatched shortly but no one appeared!

I know it's a two edged sword and had i been there when they turned up i would have been moved on too but i would have been happy to see the weight of the law being applied equally.

hmmmm a bit of militant action, come on GBC, i reckon you're slowly coming around to my way of thinking ;) I bet you're just itching to get back in the fold over there :D

I wouldn’t describe me as militant.

But you can't let a few unscrupulous young PC's ruin the reputation of thousands.

If the door staff or London Buses call the Police for any reason about an alleged obstruction, an incident log is created and assigned a CAD number.

If the Police are attending and chatting, smiling and back slapping the 'Mick Fleetwood' look a like, then I would suggest that all drivers take two minutes to file a complaint.

The mobile to mobile lark will judder to a halt.

Shoulder numbers would also help, especially if they fit my previously mentioned profile.

John Thomas is particularly interested is these events, as Joe Royale, the Superintendant in charge of the Transport OCU has already told him Taxis would be accommodated wherever possible at NOBU.
