Who's that who said on TDO police should be armed?

I don't doubt for a second the mush on the floor is an out and out scumbag.

But are the police going down to his level?

I note the video doesnt show what happened before the cops tazed the guy...

GBC.. In my younger days I had a few clips on the back of my head by local police officers.... no big deal.... you learnt... but nowadays you find young spotty faced police officers thinking they are God... not all but some.. they look for the easy mark, and quite a few occasions... that has been me.. I dislike being called Liverpool scum and those bloody handcuffs they use now should be banned, I respect the uniform but not necessarily all the people that where it . :lol:

He's just been on the local news, sounds like the local Solicitors are rushing to take his case on against the Police for brutality, they didn't mention that he'd been arrested for GBH. The Private Hire driver only got a small portion of the arrest he didn't get the bit where he was kicking out at people in a que for a nightclub.

They also forget to mention the scumbag on the floor had just assaulted a PC when he attempted to arrest him moments before. If I were the Police, I'd go on strike for a month, then sit back and watch as thousands kill each other as anarchy takes over. Let the scum rip each others spleens out and stab their neighbours to death, then some people in this country might just appreciate how good we have it over here.

According to the local news the police have passed the case to the IPC for them to investigate.

More importantly, when did we arrive at this hysteria every time the Police use force to affect an arrest of a violent low life and some numpty films it? Is it since Labour came to power? Was it Diana's funeral? When did we allow our common sense to be ruled by liberal cowards? Forget America, just look at Sweden, France, Germany, Belgium etc etc, the Old Bill are all armed and ready for violence, and if it happens, they come down like a ton of bricks on the perpetrators. These tough actions are the norm in mainland Europe, and guess what, you see very little trouble in their town centres, and you feel safe walking about at night. There are very few stories of pensioners being beaten to death for picking up their pension . . . I can't wait to retire to Europe, and I'm sure a few folks on here can't wait either, but look around, look at the scum and human excrement that now rule the streets, and how they are multiplying in ever increasing numbers, and then look at how the authorities, Police, Local Authority or otherwise have now become beaten into doing nothing about anything through fear of litigation or allegations. I look forward to the lake in the arctic, fish and water, and not a tattooed drunken [edited by admin] in sight. Single figures and counting.

Perhaps you’re just getting old? Tell me the streets were the hotbed of violence like we see nowadays all those years ago, when a 'clip around the ear' didn’t result in 'PC viciously assaults a child' headlines as we would see today? Today’s violence needs force to quell it. I've never claimed all PC's are god’s gift to society, but where did this Hysteria come from every time someone is nicked and a taser is used? If they had battened him and broken his bones, that would have been far worse than an electric shock. What's next? A week of mourning if a Joyriding thief kills himself trying to avoid arrest and justice? Jeez.

There is no doubt that the PC brigade have a lot to answer for, the law has been watered down, but then again the Chief Constable's ability should be policing and not a degree in accounting....

I remember getting the local coppers stick round my shoulders a few times when I was a lad, he caught me once riding a motorbike on a field, he came over and gave me such a a crack with his stick, me being me I said, "I'm going to tell my dad of you". He said go on then tell him and I'll tell you something your dad will give you some more. I went home and told my dad that the local copper had hit me with his stick. The copper was right my dad gave me some more of what the copper gave me. I didn't know the copper used to be a miner and work with my dad. My dad had told him to give me some fist if he ever seen me getting into any trouble.
