Totally off topic, but we might have some fun: What is the legislation that requires a pub to dispose of bar towels/mats (ie 'corporate towelling') in favour of plastic/metal drip trays? |

Plastic and metal drip trays / towels last longer and are much easier to clean. With 90% of all plastic products made in China it's got to be a money saver hasn't it? Theres some new ones on the market with a rubber anti slip bottom and a sponge top where it soaks up the beer, all you need to do is wash them in warm water and they are clean. They cost half the price of a beer towel and last forever if you use them right. |

![]() and no ploughman ever caught a bug from his lunch, when he WAS a ploughman.... We were born to mothers who smoked and drank Our cribs were covered in lead based paint No child proof lids no seat belts in cars Rode bikes with no helmets and still here we are, still here we are We got daddy’s belt when we misbehaved Had three TV channels you got up to change No video games and no satellite All we had were friends and they were outside, playin’ outside Chorus It was a different life When we were boys and girls Not just a different time It was a different world School always started the same every day The pledge of allegiance then someone would pray Not every kid made the team when they tried We got disappointed and that was all right, we turned out all right |

anyways, 20 a side footie, on the main road, smoking cinnamon sticks, staying out till it "got dark" (great in summer), rubbing butter on the tar your hands were covered in, getting a clip round the ear for swearing in front of an adult, did it do me any harm? course not, look where it got me
