 Post subject: Driving in the bus lane

i was driving in the bus lane in Shepherds Bush i got letter fine of £60
only problem is that i did not have my roof sign do you think i be let of if i send them my paperwork to say i am a taxi?

You can try. You are in contravention of your licensing conditions requiring a roof sign so they could throw it back at you if they check the photos.

Check out www.pepipoo.com - There may be errors and issues with their paperwork which may give you better grounds.

Send it back with a copy of your certificate of compliance and say your sign was damaged by a bird, you had to go and buy another one, that's why you was in the bus lane as you are entitled to be, take a photo of you cab with the sign on and try to get the plate in the shot as well

Manchester sent me a nice pic of my cab without the sign and thats what i did and the fine was dropped

Was you really there at the time :wink: it could have been a cloned car :shock:

If you are a taxi and they are permitted in that bus lane then it's irrelevant if you had a roof sign on or not.

Defo appeal and send a copy of your taxi vehicle license as evidence.

thanks guys i just sent them email with attachment pic of my taxi vehicle license lets see what happens
