Photography is my hobby ..... when I have the time!

And would you believe it with all the rush to leave on Tuesday, I did not take a single camera from my collection.

Good job the Missus took hers.

We only went to Hayling Island, near Portsmouth where the daughter is at Uni, just about to start her second year.

Very nice & peaceful, especially this time of year, but there is a dearth of good eating places on Hayling.

B*llocks; your taking the p*ss!!!

No way do you take a night shot at 1/1600 sec at 800 ISO & get a image like that!!!

You forgot to say what F value you took the photo at. I suppose that was something ridiculous like F16 or F22 too.

Your image taken even at F1.2 at 1/1600 secs with a 'film speed' of 800 ISO would probably still come out as one big black blob!!!

i was suprised too, bear in mind that the subject is very bright even though it is night, wont that move the goalposts?

other settings i expected to work (faster ISO and/or longer exposures) simply overexposed

the lens (at 300mm) is 6.5F
