I am by no means a supporter of the labour party or any of their people but give the woman a break, She says she saw the correct documents but didn't copy them, now you can either believe this or not, but at the end of the day when the situation was pointed out she has taken the correct steps to rectify this and it would appear that she will get a fine and she will pay it. Personally I will be giving her the benifit of doubt on this occasion. |

Quote: Baroness Scotland, the government's chief legal adviser who oversees criminal prosecutions in England and Wales, helped take the legislation on employing illegal workers through Parliament when she was a Home Office minister. is there any "benefit of doubt" when you or i go to court? and I love this bit (note "technical") Quote: She issued a statement saying: "I fully accept the findings of the UK Borders Agency that I made a technical breach of the rules. I apologise for having made this inadvertent error.
not technical at all love, you got caught BREAKING THE LAW |

Not sure that really helps her, as they were either forged and she couldn't see that, or they were iffy and she couldn't see that.

Personally I will be giving her the benifit of doubt on this occasion. Sack her.... she wouldnt have shown any of us mere mortals any compassion, it was her own laws she broke and Ignorance of the facts is no excuse either, she would have had anyone else fined more than double. Its just typical labour cronyism, and just like any other sleazy tacky labour lacky she is Teflon coated so as no Sh*t sticks.. |

[quote="bloodnock"] she would have had anyone else fined more than double. [quote] Actually she is the first individual to ever get a fine for this. All the other fines have been given to company's. |
