Crap in Mansfield but then again we have got 25 more taxis on than this time last year plus the fares have gone up so people aren't using us.

Hi

Down on this time last year, especially the corporate christmas do's, we were bommed with them last year all my customers said they were giving it a miss this year.

Other operators we network with have said the same

Shame they normally pay well cos they always keep you waiting and it at night rate :D

Hardly any work for my voyagers at the moment again we were bommed out with voyager jobs this time last year. Just got a new one as well.

Still we have January to look forward to, you guys have Christmas and new year, we are always dead then thank god, starts to move again first week in Jan though.

To many cars not enough work, a new chestnut that will turn into an old chestnut in years to come. I think this guy has come to haunt us this year.

Not overly impressive Mr Cgull.

If things get any worse then I will have to take a retrograde step-back and drive a HC. :D

Very quiet round our area for time of year.

We have even been asked to only work for time and half over xmas period to try and increase business.

Drivers voted against that one though rather sit at home than earn what i get on a normal weekend on xmas eve etc.

Quite right too, if your operator wants to work for the same money then let him do the driving, I would not insult my drivers in this way 8)

Regards

We are going to consider dropping our fares because this latest hike has crippled us, I'm taking less now than what I was doing on the old rate. Mansfield Council hey who'd have them?

I think if you are going to offer a cheaper rate than normal at Xmas, due to a down-turn, then you really must advertise this to death well before Xmas.

Otherwise you will lose out on the customers you may have gained, and also lose out on the customers that would have used you anyway.
