Licensing Enforcement Officer
Responsibilities:-
Receive, prioritise and investigate complaints concerning all aspects of Private Hire and Hackney Carriage licensing.
Responsible for the compilation of prosecutions reports and give evidence in any resulting legal proceedings
Attend and give evidence to the Council's Licencing Committee
Ensure that all criminal investigations comply with the requirements of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act, The Regulatory of Investigatory Powers Act and the Criminal Procedures and Investigations Act
Ensure that evidence is documented and stored
Carry out surveillance activities to identify unlawful activities
Provide advice and guidance on licensing enforcement matters
Carry out routine inspections of Private Hire Operators premises

To be considered for this role previous experience of licensing enforcement is essential to this role as well as knowledge of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act, The Regulatory of Investigatory Powers Act and the Criminal Procedures and Investigations Act


Location: West Midlands
Salary: £10.07 - £12.35 per hour

Yep, as if they don't get enough pension already??? Our LO is an ex copper, they are the worse to have for licensing officers IMO.
