Not sure the best person did win. Yes he is a good footballer, seems a nice fella, and has had a great career, but has he done more this year for British Sport than say the lad who one six stages of the Tour de France?

That's the reason why he won it IMO. He keeps out of the limelight, you don't see him falling out of clubs at 4am in the morning, you don't here of him getting a driving ban. |
